Amsterdam Donut Coalitie

An interactive workshop for all members of the Amsterdam Donut Coalitie exploring what it means to bring the City Doughnut into life and use it as a tool for transformative action.

In this first working session with all the members of the Amsterdam Donut Coalitie we want to strengthen our mutual connections and bring to life the city doughnut for everybody. In a couple of plenary and breakout exercises we will introduce the concept of the city doughnut, dive deeper into its holistic thinking and reflect on what we could do to turn it into a city- selfie and make it a living tool that everybody can use.

The online session was designed with the support of Thriving Cities Initiative, and KR Foundation.

Objectives:

• Bring together the Amsterdam Donut Coalitie
• Dive deeper into Amsterdam City Doughnut – what is the current state of the city
• Reflect on how to turn the City Doughnut to a City Selfie for Amsterdam

Content:

• Part 1: Bringing the Doughnut Coalition together
  For the first time, the entire Amsterdam Donut Coalitie will come together in one ‘space’ and reflect on the momentum that is present in the city. 
• Part 2: Diving deeper into the City Doughnut
  Understand the City Doughnut [the why, what and how] and its 4 interconnected lenses. Dive deeper into its holistic thinking and explore the synergies and dynamics.  
• Part 3: Bringing the City Portrait into life
  In this part, the participants will reflect on how they want to use the City Doughnut as a tool for transformative action. Ideas about how to build on existing momentum and turn the portrait into a ‘selfie’ will be shared.
